Rick's Rodeo is the long way home.
For a decade I made pictures under the name Caveman Photos. It was a useful name while I was learning — raw, exploratory, an archive more than a body of work. What you are looking at now is the work I want to keep.
I name every photograph the way you'd name a portrait — Frank, Mia, Solomon — because each one is a held moment with a personality. A wall has a face. A horizon has a mood. The picture's job is to remember it for you.
Prints ship from Tucson, Arizona. Each one is hand-checked, signed and dated on the verso, and printed on archival paper to outlast the room it hangs in.

Every frame lives on a wall for a week before it's allowed near the catalog. If it survives the morning coffee, it stays.
